Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) forms an integral part of StorHub mission of aligning revenue generation with good corporate citizenship. StorHub is committed to contributing to our community by providing resources we have (including storage space and human resources) to integrate CSR as part of our values and advancing initiatives.
Community Partnership
At StorHub, we have a strong commitment to CSR and giving back to the community. StorHub works closely with and provides more than 1,900 square feet of self storage space to our CSR partners; Make a Wish Foundation, Singapore Kindness Movement, Metta Welfare Association and Pangdemonium. Our employees are keen volunteers and have supported movements and events from various non-profit organisations, social enterprises, and university’s activities including MINDS’s Film Festival, Singapore Management University’s Youth Ecosperity Dialogue, Humanity Singapore’s UnLitter Red Dot initiative and Angel Hearts’s upcycling initiative.
StorHub Hong Kong has received the Caring Company Certificate that was presented by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in recognition of our efforts over the past year to care for the environment, our employees, and the community.
Health & Well-being
Following the implementation of our health and well-being initiatives, we are encouraged to see that our staff are placing higher importance on their overall wellness. We believe that happy and healthy employees are better able to excel at work and are better able to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
In Singapore, the “Healthy Fruit Week” is an ongoing initiative that started in April 2021, with fruits being distributed to all our staff in Singapore. Our employees are happy to receive the monthly fruit distribution and gain knowledge on the benefits of each type of fruit that is distributed. Additionally, healthy food options and snacks, such as nuts, raisins and less-sweetened drinks, are stocked in the pantry to provide employees with healthier food options and encourage them to be more conscious with their food choices. For StorHub employees, all staff are entitled to complimentary yearly health screenings and dental check-ups.
Our HR team have also been providing regular updates from health vendors relating to healthy living and complimentary wellness programs.
Training
Throughout StorHub, employees are encouraged to complete 40 hours of training per staff per year. The total number of training hours currently achieved by 307 employees is 4,727 hours for the first 5 months (January to May 2023), averaging 15.4 hours.
